The BMV-700 tracker is a new highly accurate battery monitoring system.

The BMV 700H version is designed for systems with high operating voltage (70 - 350 V DC), the BMV702 version is designed for monitoring two batteries or monitoring the temperature of a battery or xxx.
The tracker is also suitable for Li-on batteries.
The following values are displayed:
- current voltage (V) of the battery
- current current (A) going into (positive values - charging) or out (negative values - discharging) of the battery
- the current power (W) going into (positive value - charging) or out of (negative value - discharging) the battery (voltage and current level)
- the total amount of energy drawn from the battery to power the consumer in ampere-hours (Ah)
- current battery charge rate in percentage
- an assumed (sophisticatedly calculated) length of time in hours to 50% battery discharge for a given power consumption

The tracker cleans the selected historical data and the achieved limit values:
- deepest achieved battery discharge
- the measure of the last discharge of the battery
- number of discharging/charging cycles of the battery
- average battery discharge value
- number of full discharges of the battery
- maximum achieved battery voltage
- minimum achieved battery voltage
- number of days since the last full battery charge
 The BMV-700 tracker package includes (see figure below):
- custom tracker with backlit digital display and controls
- plastic tracker cover measuring 69 x 69 mm
- 500A/50mV shunt designed for a maximum current of 500 A (to be installed on the battery cable)
- 10 meter long RJ12 UTP communication and power cable (connecting the tracker to the side)
- 2 meter long installation cable with fuse to connect to the positive cable.
The tracker performs sophisticated monitoring of energy supply and consumption, together with taking into account the adjustable value of the Peukert exponent (the higher the energy consumption, the more the amount of available energy in the battery decreases relatively and vice versa) and the battery capacity to estimate the current amount of energy (Ah) and the battery charge rate (in percentage). For an accurate display of the amount of available energy in the battery, it is necessary that all energy entering and leaving the battery pass through the side.
The custom tracker can be integrated into the wall without the need for access from the rear (covered screws).
For higher currents than 500 A, an additional side designed for 1000 and 2000 A currents can be supplied.
On the tracer, the sides can be used up to a maximum current of 9 999 A with a voltage range of 1 - 100 mV (both adjustable).
The monitor features relay switching.
This is activated/deactivated on the basis of a measured battery charge.
It is normally set to switch on when the battery state of charge drops below 50% and switch off when the battery state of charge reaches 90%.
These values can be changed in the settings.
Thus, the switching logic can be reversed, so that by default the relay is on, by default it is off.
The relay can be used to switch on/off devices such as external alarm, power centre etc.
The monitor can be connected to other devices.
Possibility to connect the tracker to the large colour display of the Color Control GX.
To connect the BMV700 to the Color control GX display, either the VE.Direct cable or the VE.Direct-USB communication interface must be purchased.
The saved settings and the intended historical and limit data remain saved even when the power to the tracker is interrupted.
Visual and audible alarms when over or under voltage, when the battery is charged or discharged.
Possibility to switch an additional power source such as a generator over the relay under defined conditions.
