MPPT solar controller EPEVER Tracer 5415AN - new generation of powerful solar controllers brings high quality and maximum equipment for PV systems.
The Tracer AN series is characterized by its high charging capacity, making it suitable for larger island and hybrid systems.
A multifunction display is integrated directly in the MPPT controller for easy system monitoring and possible adjustment of operating parameters, including control LEDs.
Functions The controller works as an inverter, meaning that it can process higher input voltage and lower current to lower voltage and higher current, and do so with high efficiency.
So we can use virtually any solar panel.
The controller is compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries.
Technology
The Tracer AN series controller is based on multiphase synchronous rectification technology (MSRT) and the advanced MPPT control algorithm, with a dual-core processor architecture and a common minus pole.
MSRT can guarantee very high conversion efficiency in any charging power, which clearly improves the energy efficiency of the solar system.
The advanced MPPT control algorithm minimizes power loss and loss time, ensuring tracking efficiency as well as high conversion efficiency at high or low power, so in any situation, Tracer AN products can quickly track the maximum operating voltage of the PV system to extract maximum energy from the panel.
Maximum solar panel power in Wp
The maximum charging power to the battery of this model is 60A which corresponds to a panel output of 750Wp if you have a 12V battery, 1500Wp if you have a 24V battery, or 3000Wp if you have a 48V battery. If the panel delivers more power, the controller will only limit it to its nominal max power. However, the PV panel output must not be more than 1.5 times the nominal output of the controller, otherwise the controller may be permanently damaged!
Maximum input voltage of solar panels
You can connect solar panels in series, but their total output voltage at empty, referred to as Voc (careful not to confuse this with the panel voltage at load, referred to as Vmpp), must never exceed the Voc 200V empty voltage - exceeding this value will permanently damage the controller. Here it must be taken into account that the solar panel voltage increases as the ambient temperature decreases and the Voc value given in the solar panel parameters is the value for 25℃. Therefore, we do not recommend that the value of the stated Voc exceeds 180V at 25℃ (load voltage Vmpp maximum 144V)! Please refer to the manual for the maximum allowed amount of PV panels connected in series for each type according to the 12/24/48V battery.

Monitoring and setup
Setting the controller parameters (mainly the type of battery used) is done using the built-in LCD or the external MT50 display - not included in the controller. Three basic battery types are available: sealed, gel, flooded. The fourth option is a user-adjustable battery - here it is possible to set any parameters.
Parameter setting and monitoring can also be done on your PC, you will only need an EPsolar USB communication cable and software, which you can download for free on the USB cable tab. You can also monitor and setup using your mobile phone or tablet. For this you will need the Bluetooth module BLE-01.

Load relays or automatic generator control make it easy to create a hybrid power system. Comprehensive electronic protections, including over-charge, over-discharge and PV polarity reversal protection, effectively ensure safer and more reliable operation of the solar system over extended periods of time. The isolated RS485 interface with standard MODBUS communication protocol and 5V power supply makes it easy for the consumer to expand the device, supports the operation of up to 8 controllers in series to expand the system, and meets various monitoring requirements, so it can be used in different facilities, such as solar RV, home systems, field monitoring, etc.
