90Wp Victron Energy caravan assembly (PWM)

Don't want to pay high electricity connection fees at the campsite, or do you need power whenever and wherever you are away from civilisation? Simply use solar energy to charge the on-board battery in your caravan/camper.Â

We offer you an optimally designed 90 Wp solar system for caravans and motorhomes with a 5 year warranty on the solar panel and solar controller. This system works with a 12V battery voltage .

It is one of the most commonly sold and used solar systems on offer.Â

The solar system contains the following components:

1x Victron Energy 90Wp/12V solar panel (dimensions 780x668x30mm)

1x PWM solar controller Victron Energy LCD and USB 10A

1x 6mm2 cable set including press fit MC4 connectors - 15m long.

This kit does not include a battery.

If you do not have an on-board battery in your motorhome, we recommend choosing a sealed AGM, GEL, or LiFePo battery from the solar battery section.

How much energy can this 90Wp solar system produce on average under optimum sunshine conditions in the Black Sea?

We recommend fixing the panel to the roof of the car using the 68cm shackle kit (not included in the price of the kit), which can be found in the same section as this kit. There is also a waterproof grommet for the two cables leading from the panel and a suitable adhesive.

The Victron Energy LCD&USB 10A solar controller takes care of the completely unattended operation of this system, it has a clear integrated LCD display.

This will provide you with interesting information about the operation of the entire system.

On the front side of the solar controller you will also find two USB inputs suitable for charging mobile phones, for example.

After installation, you select one of four preset battery types: AGM, GEL, liquid or LiFePO4

NOTICE:

The assembly includes a 6mm2 cable 15m long, MC4 connectors are pressed on the ends of the cable for connection to the solar panel.

The installing electrician will retrofit the ends of the cables leading to the solar controller with glands and a suitable DC shield.

For the battery, terminate the cable with suitable lugs and a suitable DC shield according to the battery type and installation conditions.

 How to choose a solar power system?

We multiply the consumption of each device powered by a solar system in Watts by the number of hours of expected operation per day. The result will be the total Wh (watt-hours) demand per day.

If this figure is lower than the values given for individual© season, the system performance is sufficient, otherwise a more powerful system must be selected.
