350Wp Victron Energy caravan assembly (PWM)

You don't want to pay high fees for an electricity connection at the campsite, or you need power anytime and anywhere away from civilization? Simply use solar energy to charge the on-board battery in your caravan/ motorhome.

We offer you an optimally designed 350 Wp solar system for caravans and motorhomes with a 5-year warranty on the solar panels and solar controller. This system works with a battery voltage of 12V.

It is one of the most frequently sold and used solar systems in our range.

The solar system includes the following components:

2x Victron Energy 175Wp/12V Solar Panel

1x PWM solar controller Victron Energy LCDandUSB 30A

1x 6mm2 cable set incl. pressed MC4 connectors - length 15m

1x MC4 merge connector-pair.

This kit does not include battery.

If you do not have an on-board battery in your caravan, we recommend choosing a sealed AGM, GEL, or LiFePo battery from the solar battery section .

How much energy can this 350Wp solar system produce on average under optimal solar insolation in the Czech Republic?

Spring approx. 882 Wh/day

summer approx. 1216 Wh/day

autumn approx. 882 Wh/day

winter approx. 182 Wh/day

We recommend fixing the panels to the roof of the motorhome using the time-tested 68cm bracket set (not included in the price of the kit), which can be found in the same section as this kit. A waterproof grommet for the two cables leading from the panel and suitable adhesive is also provided.

The Victron Energy LCD&USB 30A Solar Controller makes sure that the system is completely unattended and has a clear integrated LCD display.

This will provide you with interesting information about the operation of the entire system.

Directly on the front of the solar controller you will also find two USB outputs suitable for charging mobile phones, for example.

After installation, you select one of four preset battery types: AGM, GEL, liquid or LiFePO4

NOTICE:

The assembly includes a 6mm2 cable 15m long, with MC4 connectors pressed on the ends of the cable for connection to the solar panel.

The installing electrician will retrofit the ends of the cables leading to the solar controller with glands and suitable DC fusing.

For the battery, the cable shall be terminated with suitable lugs and a suitable DC fuse according to the battery type and installation conditions.

We will be happy to advise you on the selection of a suitable battery type, a suitable 12DC/230AC voltage converter. We also offer the products needed for charging from the alternator while driving.

How to choose the right solar system?

Multiply the consumption in Watts of each device powered by the solar system by the number of hours of expected operation per day.

The result will be the total Wh (watt-hours) required per day.

If this figure is lower than the values given for each season, the system performance is sufficient, otherwise a more powerful system should be chosen.

If any component of the solar system does not suit you with its parameters, we will gladly replace it with another one or remove it completely with a corresponding price adjustment.
