180Wp Victron Energy caravan (MPPT)

You don't want to pay high fees for an electricity connection at the campsite, or you need power anytime and anywhere away from civilization? Simply use solar energy to charge the on-board battery in your caravan/ motorhome.

We offer you an optimally designed 180 Wp solar system for caravans and motorhomes with a 5-year warranty on the solar panels and solar controller.

This system works with a battery voltage of 12V.

It is one of the most frequently sold and used solar systems in our range.

The solar system includes the following components:

2x Victron Energy 90Wp/12V solar panel (dimensions 780x668x30mm)

1x MPPT solar controller Victron Energy SmartSolar 75/15 with Bluetooth monitoring and adjustment

1x 6mm2 cable set incl. pressed MC4 connectors - length 15m.

This kit does not include a battery.

If you do not have an on-board battery in your caravan, we recommend choosing a sealed AGM, GEL or LiFePo battery from the solar battery section .

How much energy can this 180Wp solar system produce on average under optimal solar insolation in the Czech Republic?

Spring approx. 454 Wh/day

summer approx. 626 Wh/day

autumn approx. 452 Wh/day

winter approx. 94 Wh/day

We recommend fixing the panels to the roof of the motorhome using the time-tested 68cm bracket set (not included in the price of the kit), which can be found in the same section as this kit. A waterproof grommet for the two cables leading from the panel and suitable adhesive is also provided.

The Victron Energy SmartSolar 75/15 solar controller ensures that this system is completely unattended.

NOTES:

The assembly includes a 6mm2 cable 15m long, with MC4 connectors pressed onto the ends of the cable for connection to the solar panel.

The installing electrician will retrofit the cable ends leading to the solar controller with glands and suitable DC fusing.

For the battery, the cable shall be terminated with suitable lugs and a suitable DC fuse according to the battery type and installation conditions.

Additional system components needed:

We will be happy to advise you on the selection of a suitable battery type, a suitable 12DC/230AC voltage converter . We also offer the products needed for charging from the alternator while driving.

How to choose the right solar system?

The consumption of the individual devices powered solar system in Watts multiplied by the number of hours of expected operation per day.

The result will be the total Wh (watt-hours) required per day.

If this figure is lower than the values given for each season, the performance of the system is sufficient, otherwise a more powerful system should be chosen.

If any component of the solar system does not suit your needs, we will gladly replace it with another or remove it completely with a corresponding price adjustment.
