  Shipment insurance

BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from insignificant loads before the battery is fully discharged (which would destroy it) or while it still has enough capacity to start the engine.

Automatic 12/24V setting

BatteryProtect automatically detects the voltage in the system.
Easily programmable
BatteryProtect can be set to connect/disconnect at several different voltage levels.
A seven-part display will show which setting has been selected.

Special settings for Li-ion batteries
In this mode, BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS.
Very low power consumption
Low power consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after low voltage shutdown.
For more information, please see the Li-ion battery datasheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual.
Surge protector
In the event of an overvoltage resulting in possible damage to sensitive instruments, the instruments are disconnected if the DC
voltage exceeds 16 V or 32 V.
Spark-proof
Does not work with relay elements but with MOSFET transistor switches, no arcing occurs.
Delayed alarm output
Alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the set value for more than 12
seconds. Starting the engine, therefore, does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is the collector output open to negative
bus, max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically connected to a buzzer or to a traffic light.
Delayed load shedding
The load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm has been triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the

"connection threshold" (e.g. during engine start), the load will not be disconnected.

BatteryProtect is unidirectional i.e. current can only pass from the "in" input to the "out" output. Reverse current passing from the "out" output to the "in" input is not allowed and will damage the device.
